OGUN GUBER'23: APC MEETS THEIR WATERLOO AS FORMER GOVERNORS AND CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS FORM ALLIANCE WITH ADC'S BIYI OTEGBEYE.

These

bigwigs have unlocked their political machineries across the three senatorial districts of the state to scuttle the re-election bid of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

It should also be recalled that the governor, Dapo Abiodun was against Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Senator- Elect of Ogun East becoming the APC Senatorial candidate for Ogun East, until it was inevitable.

With APC’s votes divided in Ogun East axis between Abiodun and Adebutu, Biyi Otegbeye of the ADC would easily coast to victory with the overwhelming support of the people in Ogun West and also capitalize on the structure and goodwill of the people of Ogun central heavily mobilised by Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

It is a bad day for the APC as bigwigs, Ex governors, Senators and stakeholders of the rulling party drum supports for the ADC's gubernatorial candidate, Biyi Otegbeye even as states and house of assembly elections are set to hold this weekend, Saturday, 18th March, 2023.

It is becoming clearer that the ADC of Ogun State is the favourite party of the people as her popularity had exponentially increased and spread in the state in the last three weeks.

Ahead of the gubernatorial polls on Saturday, 18th March, 2023, no fewer than 2000 party members of both the ruling and opposition party, APC and PDP respectively have dumped their parties for the African Democratic Party, ADC in Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Waterside of Ogun State.

These decampees were received into the party at the Ogun Waterside, the hometown of the deputy governorship candidate of the ADC, Alhaji Olatunde Awonuga.

Some of the new members of the ADC said they decamped because of the excessively elitist nature of their former party’s governorship candidate as well as their inaccessibility to common citizens. Some others accused the PDP candidate, Adebutu Lado of being too arrogant and deceitful with his claims.

Whilst receiving the decampees, Alhaji Olatunde Awonuga, the ADC's deputy governorship candidate praised their courage and conviction and assured them that they will be treated equally just as other members of the party. While addressing the decampees, he also affirmed that only the ADC, under the leadership of HE, Biyi Otegbeye can ensure the desired development in all sectors of the state when elected.

MASSIVE DEFECTION HITS APC, PDP as ADC wax stronger in Ogun state.
