Member of Ogun State APC "Youth Engagement" Campaign committee 2023 has highly commended Hon. Fasuwa Abayomi Johnson (FAJ) for the wonderful, colourful and highly intrigued football competition organized by FAJ strikers in support of Hon. Fasuwa Abayomi Johnson (FAJ) for second term, and His Excellency Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun MFR as Ogun State Governor for 2nd term.
In his expression, he showered encomium on the distinguished honorable for his all time commitment and zeal towards a better future and community development. He has no doubt this will bring a lot of togetherness, unity and development across the nooks and crannies of our dear local government Ijebu North East LGA and Ogun State in general.
The tournament which hosted 20 teams with 38 matches played is such a milestone achievement to be recorded in Ijebu North East under FAJ. Its first of it's kind in Ijebu North-East.
The grand finale which took place on 28 of December at Epiphany pry school, Erunwon had a lot of dignitaries and important guests who graced the competition finale
The competition, according to organisers (FAJ strikers) was to scout young talents across the Local Government which will in turn be stars of tomorrow and there by bringing development to our society.
Dignitaries who graced the events are
1. Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, current commissioner for youth and sport Ogun State.
2. Hon. kehinde Odeneye (former house of representative member "2 term")
3. Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo (Omo Iwa) former commissioner for special duties, and House of representative Candidate of APC representing Ijebu central federal constituency.
4. Hon. Badejo Folusho. Executive Chairman Ijebu North-East Local Government.
5. Hon. Bola Badejo. SSA on Rural Development.
6. Architect Oresile. SA on Community Development.
7. Hon. Segun Odunola. Governor Liaison Officer.
8. Chief James Dina. APC State Deputy Chairman.
9. Hon Wale Omowunmi, Ijebu North-East party chairman.
10. Hon Bukky Araba.
11. Mrs Temitope Fashuwa. Yeye apesin.
And many others.
The Governor of Ogun State His Excellency Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun MFR was ably and dully represented by the commissioner for youth and sports, Ogun State.
In his goodwill message, he said the Governor sends his greetings. He said further that this football competition has come to stay and will take another dimension during Ogun state football festival which is coming soon.
Winner of the competition went home with a cash price of #200,000 to encourage the players. 2nd place received #100,000 while third place went home with #50,000.
Succinctly put, it is crystal clear that Hon. Yomi FAJ is a lover of youth, a loving and caring man to the core whose love for his LGA, state and country cannot be overemphasized. He has shown that experience is a virtue, hence the need for continuity come 2023 election.
Having said all these, it is not gain saying or sugar coated to say that Hon. Yomi FAJ has done greatly well and deserves all the accolades, support and is highly recommendation for second term.
